In 1976, Dave and Arline Parker set to work in a Torrance, California garage to make 100 percent leak-proof gear for their SCUBA adventures. More than 40 years later, Pelican Products, Inc. is the global leader in the design and manufacture of high performance protective cases, temperature controlled packaging solutions, advanced portable lighting systems and rugged gear for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts. Pelican makes a case for every life situation, including phone cases. As the Public Relations Agency of Record for Pelican Products’ Consumer Division, we work to raise awareness of Pelican phone cases. When Pelican wanted to make a bigger splash in the smartphone case market, they turned to 48 West to bring them a VIP opportunity to put their product into the hands of influencers. What they really wanted was an activation at the NCAA Final Four, which was less than two weeks away. So, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. By partnering with Phoenix Fashion Week, we created a sponsorship opportunity at The Double Pump Finals Party and integrated social media. Multiple VIPs posted photos, updates and thank you’s to the Pelican team for their swag bags and phone cases.
